Clinical Trials (UCLA)

Trials - Clinical & Technical

I share a lot of things with my family - knowledge, food, fun, and viruses, to name a few.   However one thing that is OFF LIMITS to family members is my laptop.  I love my laptop.  I even grumble when my husband tries to use it.

It’s my source for communication to the outside world, my calendar, my recipe inspiration, my quick fix for any type of publication, my handy dandy notebook, my scrapbook and journal, my radio and movie player, my instant reference, and my toy.  I take and use it everywhere - on vacations, the library, Starbucks, friend’s houses, Mommy errands, and so many other places.  As I said before, I love my laptop.

Well, over the holiday, a sad thing happened.  While getting my daughters’ hair “just right” for their show, our 15 month old toddler climbed unto a table and sat on my laptop screen.  The baby is fine, my laptop is not.

The screen in cracked from behind so all I can view is a tiny square in the left hand corner.  I’ve found that if I minimize my screen and adjust the settings so that the type is really small, I can use it.  It’s difficult, though, so I’m hoping to get it fixed tomorrow.

Until then, I wanted to make you aware of some clinical trials for fibromyalgia that are currently open.  It was advertised in our local paper and you need to be able to have access to UCLA.  There is compensation for these studies, as well.  Click here for more information.
