Not Again, Mom!

Mothers Day Fun

For Mother’s Day I have decided to share a little humor with you. Afterall, laughter is the best medicine!  Check out this tribute to moms at http://www.yahoo.com/s/878289.  It’s highly entertaining!

On a serious note, though, being a mom is a lot of work and a lot of repeated phrases.  But, it’s so necessary and worthwhile!  I want to applaud all the moms out there who try so hard to teach and train their children, through words and action and example.

I find myself thinking of the scripture in Proverbs that refers to a virtuous woman as priceless.  It reads in Proverbs 31:27-28, “She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness” [which I think means she saves money and works hard].  Her children arise up, and call her blessed [someday]; her husband also, and he praiseth her [always!].  This inspires me to realize that motherhood, and wifehood, for that matter, are not meant to be easy.  Everyday we are becoming the women and mothers we are supposed to be and that it is the compilation of those efforts that result in our pricelessness.  So keep at it - and take some well deserved time for yourself today!
