Mothers Day Madness

I love my children. I love being a Mom. But, man, they can be trying sometimes! Despite my best efforts to maintain my composure and tend to their needs, I can’t always be the “Perfect Mom.” What is the perfect Mom anyway? Is it human or some other species? It definitely does not have fibromyalgia! Why do my children seem to unite to be most unruly on Mothers Day weekend. Is it because they are going to be perfect angels tomorrow and thus must rid all insolence and defiance from their systems? Is it because they realize that Mothers Day is the all-time guilt fest for Moms worldwide? Or is it because they are teens and preteens and have needs that cannot be filled despite anyone’s Herculean efforts? These are the mysteries of the universe. I can’t solve them today, but I plan on getting at least eight of sleep, so that I can be awake enough to ponder them tomorrow. I hope your Mothers Day is wonderful, and that your children (if you have them) are adoring of you. By the way, Mom, if you’re reading this, THANK YOU!
